Kris Schneck, Senior Director, Data Products

Kris Schneck, Senior Director of Data Products, has been with Dow Jones & Company since 1993 (and Dow Jones Indexes since 2000). She has held a series of positions, starting in customer service billing and moving to product support, data management, finance, operations, budgeting, marketing, data licensing and distribution and IT management. She has a track record of dramatic revenue generation and subsequent growth due to the extraordinary service she and her teams provide to clients.

In her current role, Ms. Schneck is responsible for the data licensing and commercial policy teams – a total of six people – and reports to Don Williams, Senior Business Director. She has been a project manager for a number of activities, including the sale and licensing of index data through vendors. Ms. Schneck helped to streamline the process for customer service, pricing, billing, negotiation and data services.

Previously, she was Director of Data Distribution for Dow Jones Indexes, executing revenue forecasting, budgeting and presentations for Dow Jones senior management. She did budgets and general finance work, and oversaw the billing function as well as the real-time, delayed and end-of-day index data teams.

Before that, Ms. Schneck had been Assistant Business Manager for Dow Jones Indexes. She played an integral role in all aspects of management for two Wall Street Journal publications: The WSJ Classroom Edition and National Business Employment Weekly. She also assisted in the preparation of the annual business plan, budget and marketing.

As Staff Assistant in Circulation Planning/Financial Reporting for Dow Jones Circulation Planning, Ms. Schneck worked as a liaison between field operations and group headquarters, providing financial analysis support for a wide range of areas, such as operations, transportation and administration. She was also responsible for annual budgets, expense analysis and related financial reports.

Ms. Schneck started her career at Dow Jones & Company as a Customer Service and Billing Representative and was later promoted to Business Analyst.

Ms. Schneck got her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Trenton State College and her MBA from LaSalle University (both summa cum laude). Currently, she sits on the Financial Information Services Division (FISD) Executive Committee and the World Financial Information Conference (WFIC) Planning Committee, and also is a member of several academic and business honor societies.
