Ridgely Walters, Senior Director, Client Development and Support
Ridgely Walters is senior director of Client Development and Sales for Dow Jones Indexes and has responsibility for business development in the Americas region.
Mr. Walters joined Dow Jones & Company in 1985 and participated in the development of the Dow Jones Global Indexes since their inception in the early 1990’s. Mr. Walters managed the Corporate Information Services statistics group from 1995 to 1999 where he was responsible for the development of new index series and managing the market data and index production operation. He was a member of the index design committee to develop the European STOXX indexes when they were launched in 1997. Dow Jones & Company was a joint venture partner in STOXX Limited until it sold its interest in 2009. In 1999 Mr. Walters became the Director of Index Operations for Dow Jones Indexes and in 2001 he became the Director of Index Services for Dow Jones Indexes with responsibility for project management of index product development and support for Dow Jones Indexes. In 2003, Mr. Walters ran the Americas sales group from 2003 until 2005 and also became the President of Dow Jones Hedge Fund Indexes, Inc. during that period. In 2005 Mr. Walters was appointed to his current position.
Mr. Walters received a bachelor’s degree in finance from Lehigh University in Pennsylvania.
