Donald Williams, Senior Business Director

Don Williams is Senior Business Director of Dow Jones Indexes and heads the business operations, budgeting and forecasting, and real-time and end-of-day data licensing teams. His group’s primary responsibilities include licensing real-time and end-of-day index data to Americas-based financial services firms, web portals, data vendors and consulting and investment advisory firms; data licensing for the Industry Classification Benchmark (ICB); and maintaining all content for the Dow Jones Indexes Web site. His team also gathers asset information of products based on all Dow Jones Indexes.

Mr. Williams joined Dow Jones in 1985 as a Senior Auditor in the Internal Audit department. Mr. Williams became the first supervisor of the department and was promoted to Director prior to joining the company’s Comptrollers’ Group in 1990. In the Comptrollers’ Group, Mr. Williams held Manager and Director-level positions in the Budget Department. In 1998 Mr. Williams joined Dow Jones Indexes.

Mr. Williams began his career as an auditor in 1985 at Arthur Andersen in New York. There he worked in the consumer goods and financial services divisions.

Mr. Williams received a bachelor’s degree in accounting at Rowan University in Glassboro, N.J. He is a member of the New York State Society of CPAs and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

He lives in Hamilton, NJ, with his wife and two children.
