Changes To Stoxx Limited’s Advisory Committee

ZURICH, April 26, 2004 – STOXX Limited today announced changes to its Advisory Committee, the group of experts advising the index provider's Supervisory Board on composition, methodology and index strategy.

Effective immediately, the following five members will be added to the Advisory Committee, bringing the total number to ten members:

  • Andrew Freyre-Sanders, Head of Structured Program Trading Research, J. P. Morgan Securities Ltd
  • Daniel Léon, Head of Quantitative and Structured Products, AXA Investment Managers
  • Dr. Ernst Mäder, Director Finance, SUVA
  • Eric Mijot, Director of Equity Research and Strategy, Société Générale Asset Management
  • Patrick Reilly, Director Global Equities Quantitative Research, UBS Warburg

Lars Hamich, Managing Director of STOXX Limited, explained: "Given the increasing demand by investors for the Dow Jones STOXX index family worldwide and the fast paced changes in the finance business, and thus in the index business, we have added this group of highly acknowledged experts to our Advisory Committee. They will provide us with the feedback from various areas and therefore help us to continuously improve our index family."

Also effective immediately, six members will leave the STOXX Advisory Committee:

  • Brian Dawson, Director of Business Development for the WM Company, Edinburgh,
  • Patrice De Larrard, Crédit Agricole, Paris, Executive Vice President,
  • Diane Garnick, Global Investment Strategist for Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, New York;
  • Alexander Ineichen, UBS Warburg, London, Managing Director, Head of Equity Derivatives Research will leave the committee;
  • Timothy Ryan, AXA QSI, Paris, Head of Quantitative Research, Head of Index Management, and
  • Clemens Lansing, J. P. Morgan Securities, London, Managing Director.
