NEW YORK, June 26, 2006 — Dow Jones Indexes today announced a component change to the Dow Jones Canada Select Dividend Index.
CI Financial (Toronto:CIX) will be deleted from the Dow Jones Canada Select Dividend Index and replaced by Teck Cominco Ltd. (Toronto:TEKb). CI Financial is being removed due to its conversion to an income trust.
The changes in the Dow Jones Canada Select Dividend Index will be effective before the open of trade on Thursday, June 29, 2006.
The Dow Jones Canada Select Dividend Index tracks the top 30 yielding stocks derived from the Dow Jones Canada Total Market Index, a broad-market benchmark index that represents approximately 95% of Canada’s float-adjusted market capitalization. The index is calculated in both Canadian and U.S. dollars.
