Component Change To Be Made To Technology Hardware & Equipment Sector Titans

NEW YORK, May 3, 2002 - Dow Jones Indexes today announced a change in a stock component of the Dow Jones Sector Titans 30 Index.

Effective Monday, May 6, 2002, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. Ltd. (Taiwan) will replace Compaq Computer Corp. (U.S.) in the Dow Jones Sector Titans Technology Hardware &
Equipment Index. Compaq Computer Corp. will be deleted from the index due to its takeover by Hewlett-Packard Co. (U.S.). The New York Stock Exchange will delist Compaq Computer Corp. before the opening of trading on Monday, May 6, 2002.
