Component Changes Made To Dow Jones’ Australian, Asian, U.S. Indexes

NEW YORK, Nov. 2, 2004 — On October 26, 2004, News Corporation announced that their shareholders and option holders had approved the company’s reincorporation into the U.S. from Australia. This corporate action requires adjustment of the following indexes: Dow Jones Australia Titans 30; Dow Jones Asia Titans 50; Dow Jones Asia Titans ex Japan; Dow Jones Australia Total Market Index, Dow Jones U.S. Total Market Index and its respective sector indexes; and the Dow Jones Wilshire Indexes.

In the Dow Jones Australia Titans 30 News Corporation will be replaced by Bluescope Steel Ltd. (Australia). In the Dow Jones Asia Titans 50 News Corporation will be replaced by Wesfarmers Ltd. (Australia). In the Dow Jones Asia Titans ex Japan News Corporation will be replaced by Westfield Group (Australia).

News Corporation will be deleted from the Dow Jones Australia Total Market Index and its sector indexes and will be added to the Dow Jones U.S. Total Market Index and the Dow Jones U.S. Broadcasting Index.

The changes in the indexes will be effective at the close of trade on Wednesday, November 3, 2004.

Later this month, Dow Jones Indexes will determine if News Corporation will be added to the Dow Jones Wilshire 5000 Composite index. In order to be added to the index News Corporation needs to trade on a primary U.S. exchange by the close of business on November 17, 2004 with all SEC filings available.
