NEW YORK, June 1, 2009 — Dow Jones Indexes today announced that General Motors Corp. (United States, Automobile & Parts, GM) will be removed from the Dow Jones Automobiles & Parts Titans 30 Index.
General Motors Corp. will be replaced by Sumitomo Electric Industries Ltd. (Japan, Automobiles & Parts, 5802.TO) in the Dow Jones Automobiles & Parts Titans 30 Index. General Motors Corp. is being removed due to its filing for bankruptcy.
All changes will be effective before the open of trading on Thursday, June 4, 2009.
