Component Changes Made to Dow Jones Sector Titans Indexes

NEW YORK, Sept. 8, 2006 — Dow Jones Indexes today announced component changes to three of the Dow Jones Sector Titans indexes.

The following changes will be effective as of the opening of trading on Monday, September 18, 2006:

Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc. (United States) will replace Norsk Hydro ASA (Norway) in the Dow Jones Basic Resources Titans 30 Index.

Ashland Inc. (United States) will replace Formosa Petrochemical Corp. (Taiwan) in the Dow Jones Chemicals Titans 30 Index.

Norsk Hydro ASA (Norway) will replace EOG Resources Inc. (United States) in the Dow Jones Oil & Gas Titans 30 Index.

These changes are being made in accordance with the sector classification rules governing the Industry Classification Benchmark (ICB). ICB definitions are applied to the Dow Jones Sector Titans index series.

Launched in February 2001, the Dow Jones Sector Titans Indexes measure the largest companies by float-adjusted market capitalization in each of the 18 ICB sectors. Daily historical data is available back to December 31, 1991.
