NEW YORK, June 29, 2004 – Dow Jones Indexes today announced a component change in the Dow Jones Select Dividend Index.
Provident Financial (PFGI) will be deleted from the Dow Jones Select Dividend Index and replaced by FNB Corp (FNB). Provident Financial (PFGI) is being removed because of its acquisition by National City Corp. (NCC).
The changes in the Dow Jones Select Dividend Index will be effective at the start of trading Thursday, July 1, 2004.
The Dow Jones Select Dividend Index includes 50 stocks derived from the Dow Jones U.S. Total Market Index, a broad market benchmark index that represents approximately 95% of U.S. market capitalization.
