NEW YORK (April 30, 2012) – Dow Jones Indexes announced today it was named the “Most Innovative ETF Index Provider” for the Americas region at the 8th Annual Global ETF Awards® on April 26. The event recognized outstanding achievements in 2011 by ETF industry participants.
Dow Jones Indexes licensed 30 indexes in 2011 as the basis of exchange-traded products. Among the highlights:
- Dow Jones U.S. Thematic Market Neutral Indexes, licensed to FFCM LLC, are a family of quantitative-strategy indexes that reflect the performance of market- and sector-neutral long/short strategies.
- Dow Jones U.S. Dividend 100 Index, licensed to Charles Schwab, is a dividend-focused index that also considers fundamentals-based factors as indicators of components’ fundamental strength.
- Dow Jones Emerging Markets Sector Titans Indexes, licensed to Emerging Global Advisors, measure the stock performance of leading emerging-markets companies in various industry-based sectors.
Dow Jones Indexes also expanded its product line in 2011 with such innovative new offerings as the Dow Jones Credit Suisse Core Hedge Fund Index, the Dow Jones FXCM Dollar Index, the Dow Jones Global Commodity Equity 100 Index, the Dow Jones-UBS Roll Select Commodity Index, the Dow Jones BBVA EAGLEs Index, and the Dow Jones Volatility Risk Control Indexes.
