NEW YORK, June 4, 2008 — Dow Jones Indexes today announced it has been named the “Most Innovative ETF Index Provider of 2007″ for the Americas at the 4th annual Global ETF Awards hosted by Exchangetradedfunds.com. Award winners were based on votes cast by more than 400 firms and professionals in the global ETF industry.
Forty-eight awards in 18 categories were presented at the 2008 Global ETF Awards Dinner(r) dinner in New York. Dow Jones Indexes won on the basis of unique index offerings such as the Dow Jones Islamic Market Indexes and Dow Jones – AIG Commodity Indexes.
