Modification To The Stock Replacement Policy For Dow Jones Indices

Stock Replacement Policy Change Effective Immediately

New York, NY, May 3, 2013: S&P Dow Jones Indices today announced changes to the stock replacement policy for Dow Jones indices that have a fixed number of constituents. Effective immediately, intra-quarter replacement stocks will no longer enter an index at the time that a current constituent is removed due to mergers, acquisitions, takeovers, delisting, bankruptcy, or other reasons that warrant ineligibility. Replacement companies will be added to the index at the subsequent rebalance. In addition, indices that drop 10% or more of their constituents between rebalance dates, based on count, will be reviewed by the Index Committee to determine when replacement stocks will be included in the index (i.e. immediately with five days advanced notice or at the subsequent rebalance).

Please note this change impacts all Dow Jones indices that have a fixed number of constituents with the exception of the following:
