The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria and Dow Jones Indexes signed a Memorandum of Understanding to explore the creation of a series of indexes that could be licensed as the basis for investible products. It is envisioned that the flagship of this index series would be a blue-chip index to be called the Dow Jones Global Fund 50 Index. The announcement was made at the international conference on Innovative Financial Solutions for Development organized by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the World Bank and the French development agency in Paris.

Dow Jones Indexes today announced it has updated its Dow Jones Target Date index series. The Dow Jones U.S. Target Date 2055 and the Dow Jones Global Target Date 2055 Indexes were launched to complement and continue the existing index series to enable market participants to use the indexes to help measure the performance of their "lifecycle" portfolios as they prepare for retirement.

NEW YORK, Feb. 17, 2010 — Dow Jones Indexes, LVA Indices and Proveedor Integral de Precios (PiP) today launched 22 additional bond indexes for Chile and Mexico. These new indexes further complement the Dow Jones LATixx index series which measures corporate and government bonds in major Latin American countries.

Dow Jones Indexes today launched the Dow Jones North America Select Junior Gold and the Dow Jones Canada Select Equal Weight Utilities Indexes. The Dow Jones North America Select Junior Gold Index measures the performance of gold mining companies in Canada and the U.S.; whereas the Dow Jones Canada Select Equal Weight Utilities Index comprises larger Canadian utilities companies.
